DEC Offers a $250-$500 Level 2 (240V) Electric Vehicle Charger Rebate  logo
For purchase and installation of brand new 240-volt Level 2 Electric Vehicle Chargers with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification. Used, resold, or rebuilt chargers are not eligible.

The application must be submitted within one (1) year of the EV charger purchase date.

Rebate will not exceed 100% of total project cost.

Before you get started
Residential members must own or lease an All-Battery (Zero Emission) EV or Plug-In Hybrid EV, registered at their DEC service address, to qualify for a charger rebate.

Photos and the invoice(s) or receipt(s) are needed to complete the form. Other paperwork is required for contractor-installed projects.
  • Level 2 chargers are four to six times faster than using a standard home outlet.
  • More efficient charging than standard outlet (120V) charging.
  • Many units come with additional controls, such as timers and wifi connectivity.

Incentive Information

Limit one (1) rebate per residential site.

Self-installation by Homeowner: $250
For homes with electrical service that is ready for you to plug the new charger into an existing 240-volt outlet.

Hardwired Installation by Electrician: $500
For homes that need upgrade work performed by a licensed electrician to install the charger. Your project must receive a final approved building inspector permit to qualify for the rebate.
